Tuscola County Medical Care Community is a skilled nursing community in Caro, Michigan, caring for our neighbors since 1956. We provide skilled nursing, memory care, rehabilitation and restorative services for residents recovering from surgery, living with long term illness or facing the challenges of dementia.
Care here is a 24 hour promise. Licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants are on every unit day and night, supported by unit RN managers and a community wide RN supervisor. Quality of care never rests, and neither do we.

Dementia changes how a person manages everyday life. Our memory care households are safe, calm and familiar, and our staff are trained to ease challenging moments, encourage independence and protect dignity.
Physical, occupational and speech therapy, plus wound care, delivered by Therapy Management Inc., a national leader in rehabilitation. Every resident receives a program built for their own recovery goals.
Our restorative team helps residents keep the strength they have worked for. The focus is wellness, preventing decline and supporting each person to live as fully and independently as possible.
Two 10 bed houses give residents skilled care in a true household: a shared kitchen and living room, a private bedroom and a private bath for every person. In the main building, private suites add a separate living and visiting room, and semi private suites pair a personal bedroom area with a shared bath.
Days are as full as each resident wants them to be. Our Life Enrichment team builds programs around social, emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual wellbeing, and our culinary team serves a liberalized menu with real choices at every meal.
